Become a More Powerful and Inspirational Communicator
Whatever the nature of your business communication, it is vitally important that you engage your audience, keep them engaged, and deliver your key messages in a powerful and inspirational manner.
My simple (but powerful) 3-step technique will teach you how to achieve this
Step 1
Dealing with Nerves or a Lack of Confidence
Left untreated, nerves (or a lack of confidence) can greatly reduce your effectiveness as a communicator.
Nerves (and/or a lack of confidence) are natural and common experiences to feel when speaking in front of a group.
I will teach you the physical and mental strategies used by professionals, which are highly effective in controlling any anxiety that you may feel about speaking in front of a group.
I will teach you techniques that will enable you to speak with confidence, and with authority.
Step 2
Creating Great Communication
My training will show you how to put together your content in a way that both engages your audience and keeps them engaged.
One example would be to start your communications with great 'hooks'. A hook is a powerful statement used at the very beginning of a presentation, meeting or pitch. The hook immediately grabs the attention of the audience and (importantly) leaves those in attendance eager to hear more. See below how Jamie Oliver engages his audience by starting his award-winning TED Talk on healthy eating with a great hook.
I will also show you how to create immensely powerful business communication by utilising the storytelling technique. We will learn how great communicators use this approach to engage & inspire audiences, thus effectively delivering their key messages. See below how Sir Ken Robinson uses the storytelling technique to help deliver his message that many schools are killing creativity.
The storytelling technique can be used in various types of business communication (e.g. during presentations or when creating online video content).
I will also show you how effective business communicators give clear messages at specific key points when they speak, thus keeping their audiences engaged and inspired.
And much more!
Step 3
Delivering an Excellent Performance
How you deliver your speaking performance is vitally important to its chances of success.
I will teach you how to make your communication stand out from the crowd by working on the speaking delivery techniques used by elite communicators. Some examples include looking at how to:
Display the appropriate body language
Use (effective) eye contact to connect with your audience
Manage the volume, speed, tone and clarity of your voice
Make effective use of gestures
Apply EMPHASIS when speaking
Utilise the enormous power of humour
Use the public speaking superpower that is.........'the pause'
My training will teach you the techniques that will make you the sort of speaker that engages and inspires audiences. This will enable you to deliver your key business messages in ways that will make them far more likely to be listened to, and acted upon.
